Kairos Counseling Consultation

About

Meet Your Partners in
Mental Wellness

Kairos is a Greek word meaning “the right or opportune moment.” In therapy, Kairos refers to the perfect moment for healing to occur. Kairos Counseling & Consultation believes that there is a time and place for everyone to heal. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and work towards making positive changes in your life.

Candi Gadison

Hello, I am Candi Gadison, a  Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) and board-approved supervisor for licensed master social workers seeking their clinical licensure. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas State University and my Master’s in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. I have worked in school-based mental health since 2007, serving students in grades K-12 and their families.

My previous work experience includes crisis intervention in hospitals and with the military, individual and family counseling for clients involved with CPS, and working with adolescents and their families in residential settings.

I have loved my work with adolescents and their communities of systems, whether that is family, school, or peers. Over the last several years, I have expanded my work to include adult clients dealing with anxiety, grief, life transitions, women’s issues, and  individuals who feel stuck in cycles of perfectionism and self-doubt, and I support families who are navigating the emotional impact of a loved one’s substance use

Individuals and families will feel empowered to increase communication, understanding, and empathy and grow healthier relationships. Building trusting relationships is a core foundation for any change we hope to see within ourselves and others. This belief informs my approach to therapy.  I believe therapy should be relational, and meeting each client where they are on their journey is essential.  Every client has their own unique situation and challenges, as well as their own strengths.

My hope is that together we create a path for healing and Kairos signifies readiness for that journey.

My Approach

Beginning therapy can be an intimidating step. However, it is also a courageous step. Everyone starts (or returns to) their therapy journey in different places.  We all need support at various times throughout our lives and for different reasons. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and work with you to support you as you achieve your goals.  I enjoy the use of a variety of evidence-based treatments when working with clients.

For individuals I use evidence-based therapy techniques designed to help you in a number of ways. I work with each person to understand their unique needs and goals, and then I develop a plan that is tailored specifically for them. I use techniques that have been proven to be effective in helping people achieve their goals, and I constantly monitor progress to ensure that our clients are getting the results they desire.

For families I work with families to identify and understand the problems they are facing. I then help families develop skills to better cope with these problems utilizing trauma-informed and proven therapeutic techniques. Together we’ll explore familial relationships and give each member of the family the opportunity to express themselves and how they feel about their place in the family unit. The goal is to define areas of conflict and help to develop healthy communication and conflict resolution techniques that will benefit the whole family long-term.

For Christian counseling I provide a gospel-centered approach when incorporating faith into treatment for clients that wish to integrate faith as part of their therapy. I provide a space for you to process whatever is going on in your life, whether that be depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or any other issue. I then help you to process those things from a Christian perspective and work through them together.

Starting therapy can feel like a big — and sometimes intimidating — step, but it’s also a brave move toward growth and healing. We all find ourselves needing support at different points in life, for many different reasons. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning, I’m here to meet you right where you are. Together, we’ll explore what you need, clarify your goals, and co-create a path forward that feels meaningful and doable for you. Throughout our work, we’ll check in regularly to make sure the process is working for you and adjust as needed.

I approach each person with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for your unique story. My role is to walk alongside you as we explore your experiences and identify what you need most right now. Together, we’ll develop a personalized plan that supports your growth, healing, and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Interpersonal Neurobiology, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. These therapies help us understand how your past and present experiences shape your inner world and relationships, and they offer practical tools for lasting change.

For clients who desire to incorporate their faith into the counseling process, I offer a gospel-centered approach rooted in Christian principles. This means that, when requested, we intentionally integrate your spiritual beliefs into therapy, using the truth of the Gospel as a foundation for healing, growth, and hope.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or other life challenges, I provide a compassionate space to explore what you’re going through. Together, we’ll process your experiences through a biblical lens, drawing on Scripture, prayer, and spiritual insight as part of the therapeutic journey. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you apply the hope and wisdom of the Gospel to the struggles you face.

Supervision and Consultation

I am a board-approved supervisor for Licensed Master Social Workers seeking clinical licensure.  My approach is very similar to my therapy work.  I strive to understand you as a person and therapist to best support your learning and growth.  I have over 15 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, parents, and adults. I’ve also worked with various organizations helping to implement high-quality mental health care. I’d love to share what I have learned and support you as you develop your unique skills, niche, and clinical profession.

If you are fully licensed but seek consultation, whether one-time or ongoing, please feel free to contact me.  I’d be happy to provide consultation around clinical work, implementing mental health programs, or providing mental health to organizations.

Christian Counseling

As the founder of Kairos and a therapist behind Kairos Counseling & Consultation. My goal is to provide quality mental health care for anyone in need, regardless of background.

If you are a person of Christian faith and seeking a therapist who can incorporate the Bible and Christian principles into your therapy sessions. Kairos offers a gospel-centered approach where we can utilize proven therapy techniques with Biblical wisdom and values to marry your healing journey to your faith perfectly.

Therapy is often more effective when it utilizes the patient’s faith. I offer this type of therapy for those who are seeking treatment from a Christian worldview. If you need a safe space to explore your faith or address mental health issues, we would be honored to walk with you on your journey.

I aim to see your spirituality as a part of who you are and a powerful source of support that we can tap into throughout your healing process.
